Women's Basketball - 2007-2008 Big XII Champions
Kansas State has won the 2008 Big 12 women's
basketball regular season championship, its
second crown since 2004.
The Wildcats finished the conference season
with a 13-3 mark and are 21-8 overall heading
into the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball
Championship.
KSU enters the postseason tournament as the
No. 1 seed while Baylor is the No. 2 seed.
Oklahoma State claimed the No. 3 seed and Texas
A&M the No. 4 seed. The top four seeds receive
first round byes and begin action in the second
round.
The remaining seeds are: No. 5 Oklahoma, No.
6 Nebraska, No. 7 Texas, No. 8 Iowa State, No. 9
Colorado, No. 10 Texas Tech, No. 11 Kansas and
No. 12 Missouri.
First round action gets underway Tuesday,
March 11, at noon. All games will be played in
Kansas City's historic Municipal Auditorium,
site of five previous Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's
Basketball Championships.
